The Trainer For A Day program is an in-depth 3 hour behind the scenes look into the daily activities of the Dolphin Connection training team. The program is designed to give participants an up-close and personal experience by providing hands-on opportunities. Limited to a maximum of three participants per day. This program offers a unique opportunity to experience what it's like to be a dolphin trainer. The program includes ample opportunities to interact with our dolphin family: the Dolphin Discovery and the Royal Swim programs are included as well as a private training session with the dolphins from the docks. Participants have one-on-one time with the trainer and are involved in various hands-on activities regarding the care and training of our dolphins. You also get to paint with a dolphin!
You'll shadow our Marine Mammal Specialist and go behind the scenes to work with our ocean ambassadors.
Photos are included in all dolphin experiences. Our photographers capture posed and candid photos. Some photos may include other guests due to the natural lagoon setting. We do our best to prevent this. Any photo issues can be sent to photomanagerdc@dolphindiscovery.com for support.
Adults 12 years old and older $399.99. For animal safety, the Dolphin Swim programs have a guest weight limit of 250 lbs. For safety reasons, pregnant women are not permitted to participate in water activities, dockside only. Guests with any medical restrictions, special needs, fish allergies please contact us at 305-289-9975 to notify staff. Photos are included with the price. All Jewelry of any kind must be removed prior to participation.
For the dolphin’s health and safety, all jewelry must be removed prior to the beginning of the program. For liability reasons, NO personal cameras, cell phones or any any electronic items/devices are permitted on the docks or in the water at anytime, on/during/or after program. These items are approved to have at our beach and overlook areas for any observers. For your convenience, staff photographers are present at each program. Participants our highly encouraged to check-in at the Dolphin Connection facility 15-20 minutes prior to their program time. We recommend coming program ready and with a towel and change of clothes, if needed. Wetsuits and life vest provided.
